Paris, France – Live Like a Local!

17th Arrondissment Paris. France

Paris is one of my favorite cities in the whole world and my family and I have been several times. Each time is always a wonderful experience. Our most recent trip was in December 2022 for Christmas and we started the new year 2023 in Paris. In this blog post, I share where we stayed and how we are able to spend over 2 weeks in Paris, France, and live like the locals without breaking the bank.

My husband and I have been traveling with our daughters since they were little. Now they are 23 and 15 and love our family adventures all over the world. When we travel, we enjoy staying in family-friendly neighborhoods where the locals live, eat, shop and work. This is not only economical but also allows us to experience authentic French life and culture. We like to use Airbnb when we travel. I am very diligent in reading reviews and asking questions and doing research before we decide on a place to stay. So far, we have had amazing experiences and stayed in fabulous homes.

Paris, France – Reasonable Accommodations

This past December we stayed in a beautiful family apartment In the 17th arrondissement of Paris, the owner’s name is Soukaina and she was a wonderful host. It was conveniently located close to a metro station, Paris’ main attractions, and a 5-minute walk to the Metro. The Champs-Elysees was 0.7 miles away which was about a 15-minute walk. Check the listing for more details here – SOUKAINA’S PLACE

We stayed at Soukaina’s apartment for 15 days and 14 nights and it felt like home. We had all the comforts that we needed for our family of 4 and we were truly able to enjoy an authentic experience and enjoy Paris, France like a local.
